What linked devices cannot do
WhatsApp Business lets you link extra devices. That still is not assignment, labels, or a handoff. Instagram and Messenger stay in other apps. The sale that starts on IG and finishes on WhatsApp has no single thread.
App vs API
The app is excellent on one phone. A desk needs Cloud API and one shared inbox. Instagram and Messenger belong in that same inbox, not in three native apps.
| Feature | WhatsApp Business app | Alatusa |
|---|---|---|
| Who can answer | One phone, a few linked devices | 10 people, each with a login |
| Hand a chat to a teammate | No | Yes |
| Instagram and Messenger in the same list | No | Yes |
| See who wrote again (Follow-up) | No | Yes |

The app is the phone. The API is Meta Cloud API, with no screen of its own. The inbox is software your team logs into. Compare on ownership, labels versus memory, and whether ads land on one pocket.
Agents share one WhatsApp number plus Instagram DMs and Messenger. Labels, welcomes, and catalog sit beside the thread. Meta still owns delivery and Cloud API fees.
Stay on the WhatsApp Business app if one person covers every chat. Choose Cloud API plus Alatusa when two people already step on the same number, or when Click-to-WhatsApp ads hit a personal phone.
