Data Deletion Instructions

This page explains how people who use Alatusa can export data, disconnect Meta channels, or request deletion of personal data we process on behalf of a workspace. It applies to team members who log into Alatusa and to organizations that connect WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram, or Meta catalogs.

1. Export your data (signed-in team members)

If you have an Alatusa account, sign in and open Export my data. You can download a portable JSON export (or CSV of messages) of information visible to your account under your workspace permissions.

2. Disconnect Meta channels inside Alatusa

Workspace owners and admins can disconnect WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram, or a linked Meta catalog from Company Workspace Setup → Meta connections. Disconnecting stops Alatusa from receiving webhooks and clears stored OAuth tokens for that channel in Alatusa. It does not delete your WhatsApp Business Account or Facebook Page in Meta: you may also need to remove Alatusa as a connected app in Meta settings.

3. Request account or workspace deletion

Workspace owners can request removal in-app: sign in → Admin → Settings → open Account options at the bottom → Request account removal. Submitting creates a support request; workspace data is removed from Alatusa after a 30-day period (not immediately).

Organization administrators can also remove team members and disconnect Meta channels before or during that process. For requests that cannot be completed in-app, email info@alatusa.com with the subject line Alatusa data deletion request. Include your workspace name, the email address on your Alatusa account, and what you want deleted.

4. End-customer messages (WhatsApp / Messenger / Instagram)

When a business uses Alatusa, that business is typically the data controller for messages sent to its customers. End customers should contact the business directly for deletion of conversation history. Alatusa assists the business as a processor when required by contract and law.

6. Optional email without deleting an account

To stop optional Alatusa email (setup reminders and, later, product updates) without deleting a workspace, use Email preferences. Account deletion remains the path in section 3.
