Cookie Policy
Last updated: August 16, 2026
This policy describes how Alatusa uses cookies and similar technologies on alatusa.com and the web application. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
1. What we use cookies for
- Strictly necessary: session, security, load balancing, and preferences required for login and chat functionality (for example, keeping you signed in, CSRF protection, theme where stored locally).
- Functional: remembering UI choices that are not strictly required but improve usability.
- Functional / reliability: operational health monitoring to keep the product stable (Postgres metrics and owner alerts). No third-party crash analytics SDK in the browser.
- Analytics (optional): only if you accept them in our banner. We apply a zero-pixel approach: third-party marketing or analytics tags (for example Meta or Google Ads pixels) must not load until you explicitly consent to analytics where such tools are used.
- Email preferences (/unsubscribe): uses the same essential cookies as other legal pages. Choosing optional-mail scopes is not a cookie setting; it is stored server-side against the email address after a signed link.
2. Global Privacy Control (GPC)
Where your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal (or equivalent opt-out preference), we treat it as a request to use only essential cookies and similar technologies for that browser, consistent with applicable law. You may still see the banner for clarity; analytics and non-essential scripts stay off unless you later opt in in a way that overrides the signal where the law allows.
3. First-party vs third-party
Core product traffic goes to our domains and our backend (for example Supabase). If we add third-party analytics, they are disclosed here and gated behind consent. We do not sell your personal information for money; any “sharing” for advertising would be described and, where required, consented to separately.
4. Managing cookies
You can clear cookies in your browser settings and use our in-product choices where available. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent login or real-time features from working.
5. Updates
We may update this policy when our practices or the law changes. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the latest revision.
